Forty years ago, Warren LeSueur made a prediction.

On a county island in Tempe, he and his new bride, Carolyn, had moved into the little house, pulled out the cactus to make room for a parking lot and were set to open LeSueur Car Company.

“You wait,” Warren told his wife, “this is going to be an exceptional company someday.”

They applied persistence and determination, but, more than that, they offered excellent customer service and were committed to supplying the best value for the money. They consistently found the best selection of pre-owned, “like-new” cars anywhere, and expertly matched those cars to customers’ needs.

Now, 40 years later, and still in the same location, the LeSueurs have, indeed, built an “exceptional company,” with each year’s sales improving over the last, and with their top priority being to help people and make each person feel important.

They’ve continued to add cutting-edge technology, and three years ago built a new showroom and mechanic shop, to better serve their customers’ needs.

Team LeSueur puts in countless hours traveling across the country to find the best, “fun to drive, exceptionally clean, low-mileage, reliable cars.” Most are still under manufacturers’ warranties.

They specialize in VW, Audi, BMW and Mini Cooper, Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, Infiniti, Honda, Acura, Hyundai, Kia, Ford, Volvo and Mercedes, and have increased their inventory of cars, trucks, vans and sport utilities to more than 400.

“And, with all these nice cars, we get really great trade-ins, which we then resell.”

Customers across the nation and local customers as well like the company website at, where they can view the cars, read about them and even print a $300-off coupon. LeSueur’s ships nationwide, or some new owners choose to fly in and enjoy their new car on a cool road trip home.

“We offer great financing and trade ins are welcome,” Warren says, and because LeSueur’s is on a county island, customers pay no city sales tax, which saves them 2 percent or more. “Our customers appreciate our honest, upfront, low-pressure car-buying experience.”

When it comes to service, Warren says, “We do excellent full-service maintenance and repairs. We have the lowest shop rates in town and work on all makes and models. We also give a 10 percent discount on labor for our valued customers who have purchased at LeSueur’s.”

LeSueur’s team of six ASE-certified technicians and assistants, led by service manager David Tracy, use specialized computerized diagnostic equipment and top-of-the-line alignment, tire mounting and balancing machines. “We also offer tint and paint touchup.”
