Linda Leavitt Hartmann, Sales Executive

Linda Leavitt Hartmann and her husband Steve Hartmann

Linda Leavitt (now Linda Hartmann) worked for The Beehive Newspaper 12 years ago in the Las Vegas area. She had a dream of bringing “the good news newspaper” to the Saints in her home state of Arizona. She proposed the idea to her boss, Russell Taylor, and he liked the idea of an Arizona edition. Within a few months the first Arizona paper was published in October 1993.

Linda is the Regional Sales Executive for The Beehive and has seen the Arizona paper grow from the first edition of 8 pages to as many as 80 pages.

Linda has a love for The Beehive and has seen many positive letters and phone calls from readers over the years. One such call was from a lady who had picked up a paper from a newsstand and ultimately joined the Church because of her introduction to The Beehive.

Linda states, “We know of 12 marriages that were a result of The Beehive Singles Section.”

Linda served a mission for the Church in Atlanta, Georgia October 1979-April 1981. She went to school at BYU Hawaii (1985-1986) and toured with the school’s performing troupe, SHOWCASE HAWAII as the piano player. She returned home and worked for the Superior Court of Arizona as a Judicial Administrative Secretary and also in the District Court in Las Vegas.

Linda is also an accomplished musician and has composed over 60 songs, including the popular missionary song, “I’ll Find You My Friend,” which is now translated into 20 languages. Linda’s goal is to get the song translated in all the languages where missionaries are sent and give the song to those countries in their native tongue.

Linda met her husband Steve Hartmann at a singles conference in November 2002. They were married March 5, 2004 in the Arizona temple and are happily married. Linda and Steve reside in East Mesa. She continues selling display advertising for The Beehive, composing and producing music and frequently speaks at firesides, seminaries and functions relating to gospel and missionary topics. She is happy to be a resource for new omposers who are needing guidance in their quest to publish music.
