Bunker Family Funeral and Cremation, in Mesa, Arizona, is a family-owned business that has been helping local families during their time of loss since 1913.
Their goal is to provide unparalleled service in the community. They were one of the first funeral homes to create an interactive online site, which includes guidance on how to handle emotional grief, how to heal from loss, how to help children and teens deal with loss, and how to reach out for help when grieving.
To aid LDS clients, Bunker has put together a handbook and presentation to train stake presidencies, bishoprics, and Relief Society presidencies in how to support ward and stake members during times of loss or struggle.
Bunker Family Funeral Home also has an exciting new project in development: a twenty-two acre collaborative venture with the town of Gilbert, which will include the first cemetery, along with a funeral home, located in that town. This will better provide for area residents—in the past, local families have had to travel to Mesa or Phoenix for burial services. The undertaking is projected to be finished in 2018.
Bunker has recently won the award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction from a consulting company that surveys families across the United States. They are also members by invitation of two International Funeral Associations for their excellence in service, and Brother Randy Bunker has served on the board of both groups.
“My family and I were treated with compassion and professionalism,” a satisfied Bunker customer reported.
Bunker Family Funeral Homes currently has two locations in the East Valley: the University Chapel, located at 3529 East University Drive, Mesa, and the main location at The Garden Chapel, 333 N.
