Javier Bravo started in the insurance field in 1984 and has 35 years’ experience in various positions, including agent, broker, underwriting, recruiting and product development. His associate, Howard Farkash, has been doing insurance work for over 15 years, and focuses on Medicare and senior needs.  His other associate, Alyssa Wright, is the group sales director and works mainly with medical plans for small businesses.

Bravo was copying some papers at Office Max about 15 years ago when he noticed another man having difficulty with one of the machines. He went over to offer his help, and discovered that the man, Farkash, was also in the insurance business. He was even from Chicago and loved the Cubs. It turned out that they had worked for some of the same firms, but somehow never met. After he and Farkash became friends, Farkash began using his services and they later decided to join forces to unite their similar goals.

“We want to help anyone we can, from any walk of life,” says Bravo, “and to help find reasonable solutions to a person’s insurance and retirement needs at a price they can afford.”

There are several subsidiary groups under the umbrella of Bravo Insurance Agency, including Care Beyond Medicare Planning Services, Advantage Brokerage Concepts and ARK Financial Solutions (financial workshops). The ARK name gets its inspiration from the movie Evan Almighty—more specifically, the line from actor Morgan Freeman’s character, God, when he says, “How do we change the world? Just one act of random kindness at a time.”

“That movie really inspired me,” says Bravo. “I try to incorporate that into my personal life as well as my business practices.”

For clients having difficulties obtaining insurance due to legal violations or other special situations, Bravo Insurance Agency is the resource to call. They can also help with protection against large medical bills, and with disaster and retirement planning. “We provide clarity in a cluttered and confused marketplace,” says Farkash. “We will help you find your peace of mind.”

They serve individuals, families, veterans, and the small business community. Their goal is to help provide care for everyone, no matter what the difficulties, and to think outside the box for solutions to any problem. While most large insurance companies essentially have one insurance policy that they can sell consumers, Bravo Insurance has 48 different insurance companies to choose from and can do all the comparison shopping.

Bravo Insurance Agency is located at 935 East Main Street, Ste. 205, in Mesa. Call 480-534-4022 for more information or to set up an appointment.
