A unique rescue service is now available in Arizona. Castle International Air Ambulance and Rescue Service provides compassionate medical care to the community utilizing state-of-the-art technology and medical staff with experience spanning from the Korean Conflict to present day.

Recently, Castle International had the opportunity to successfully assist a young boy, who had been bitten twice by a rattlesnake. They have assisted patients in rural settings and overseas in war zones.

It is a unique service that incorporates equipment and telecom applications that provide the very best care possible by loving and committed medical experts who love people and want to save lives.

Vicky Burkinshaw of the Mesa Arizona Citrus Heights Stake serves on the Board of Directors.

Burkinshaw says, “As a member of the Board of Directors, I have the opportunity to serve the Lord vicariously by contributing my time to serve our community when critical medical emergencies occur and Castle International responds to those events.”

“I serve with the most caring and highly skilled medical professionals providing air ambulance care and transport 24-7 here in Arizona, U.S. and internationally. The satisfaction that we experience in applying superior Lifebot 5 telemedicine and our commitment to philanthropic service is life-changing and exquisite,” Burkinshaw says.

Burkinshaw adds, “Right now, I am the only member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Castle International family. I can tell you that the staff—mostly veterans of several wars are as Christ-like and devoted to saving lives as any heroes you have ever heard of or hope to meet.”

Lindsey Borg, Director of Business Operations at Castle International, says, “At Castle, when we say, ‘Stand fast, we’ve got your back,’ it’s decisive. At a moment’s notice we can assemble and customize a fully equipped winged or rotor aircraft tailored to your immediate need.”

The aircraft include life-support systems, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).

Castle International is a new model of help offered worldwide.

“Our team of dedicated military veterans, highly trained physicians, and expertise derived from 30 years in the field, allows Castle to be the exemplar in fashioning a new industry model,” says Borg.

Help from Castle International is available at all times. “We’re on-demand 24/7/365, and we never let your requirements, or our actions, be limited by boundaries. And, when we say, ‘Wheels up,’ it’s not the end. In fact, we’re steadfast as the patient’s advocate from the moment we get the call, through transport and care, onto insurance claims—that’s when the mission’s deemed complete. Unwavering in our commitment, we take pride and honor in supporting the courage of the patients and families we have the pleasure of serving.”
